Reiki Energy Healing
Meditative, relaxing, & rebalancing
My name is Lindsey and I am a Reiki master who has been studying and practicing for over a decade. I've studied both the traditional Japanese techniques as well as the Western modifications under a few different teachers of varying disciplines and backgrounds.

What is Reiki? Reiki is a popular form of energy healing developed in 1920's Japan by Buddhist monk Usui Mikao. It has since spread all over the world with hundreds of thousands of practitioners across the globe. Reiki is an alternative therapy that brings balance, pain relief, and a deep sense of peace to both the recipient and the practitioner.

Whether you believe in energy healing or not, what’s true is that Reiki has brought profound peace and relief to countless people around the world since it was developed by Usui Mikao in Japan in the 1920’s. Skeptics have become Reiki masters, having experienced the mysterious blossoming warmth of Reiki energy. I am one of those skeptics turned master.
According to Reiki, there is universal life force energy that makes up all things. You could think of this as the theoretical quantum foam yet understood; the smallest particle of energy that makes up all things. You could think of it as divine love that is always working in your favor or the eternal state of being that is the essential nature of all life and things. You could just think of it as a placebo effect that enables people to feel better on their own. However you want to try and understand it, it is best to be experienced with a relaxed, open heart to receive maximum benefits.
A Reiki practitioner is trained in channeling this universal life force energy and encouraging it to enhance your own healing capabilities. Reiki works for your highest good and frequently brings about a greater sense of peace while alleviating pain. At times, it will also bring up deep inner wisdom you’ve yet to unlock, helping you to overcome emotional and spiritual blockages that prevent you from feeling, better, happier, and achieving your highest potential.
During a Reiki session, the client lies clothed on a table while the practitioner moves and stills their hands over them intentionally. There is some light touching, though zero touching can be requested.
The practitioner guides the session but Reiki guides the practitioner. Energy from the body often jumps out at the practitioner and helps keep the work focused on just what the client needs to feel better and overcome obstacles in their life.
Recipients of Reiki often experience deep relaxation, tension relief, and deep inner peace. These effects often continue to unfurl even after the session ends.
It’s important to drink water and listen to your body after a Reiki session, allowing it to rest, go outside, exercise — whatever it wants to do.
